# Password method
In Teamspeak 3, password-protected channels are widely used to limit access to certain sections. However, it becomes difficult when you find yourself managing dozens of different passwords. As if that weren't enough, we all know how unreliable they are for passwords due to their volatility. "Is it okay if I give the password to my friend to enter? Only this time then he doesn't use it anymore" and that's how a restricted access channel becomes the most populated of the Teamspeak. To work around this problem, simply follow this guide.
# Method without password
To limit access to channels we will no longer use untrustworthy passwords but the Channel Groups. Suppose we want to limit access to the channel Staff and allow entry only to whoever we want. Let's start with the modification of the channel Staff. Right click and Channel Permissions.

At this point you just have to add the users to the group. You can do this in two simple ways. If they are not connected to the Teamspeak you will add them by ID as follows. Right click on the group in the left column. Select Clients in channel group.
Now perform the following operations in the order:
- Select the channel Staff (the one where we are limiting access)
- Press the Add button
- Enter the ID of the user you want to give access to the channel and press Ok
- The username of the added user will appear on the right
All users in the right column will have access to the Staff channel without entering any password.
# Enable access to users connected to the server
Giving access to users who are connected to the server is more hasty. Simply move them to the restricted access channel - in our case Staff - and assign them the Channel Group Test.
